Launching our eighth concert season, Serbian born virtuoso Svetlana Bogosavljevic will join our Chamber Orchestra to perform Haydn’s lyrical Cello Concerto No. 2. Svetlana is well known by Melbourne audiences as one third of the highly acclaimed Ensemble Liaison.

Mark Fitzpatrick, Principal Trumpet with Orchestra Victoria along with David Macfarlane (harpsichord), Aaron Barnden (violin), Marney Pope (flute) and Michael Powell (oboe) will continue our journey through Bach’s sublime Brandenburg Concertos. Mozart’s bright and joyous Symphony No. 21 with the contrast of Haydn’s dramatic Overture to L’isola disabitata will make for a wonderful afternoon of music and a great start to our year.

We the thrilled to have Ingrid Martin returning as guest conductor for these performances.
